In the meditation, I’m asking you to notice your sensations. Sensations arise and disappear all the time inside your body, but most of the time you’re not paying attention.
Sensations can feel like:
Tickles, bubbles, heat, cold, a piercing feeling, wind, pressure, contraction, expansion, pulsations, flutters, rushes, tingling, heaviness, lightness, etc etc.
Common experiences when you’re just learning this technique:
not feeling much or nothing at all
feeling only one type of sensation over and over again
thoughts taking over the experience
feeling awkward when speaking out loud
I encourage you to do the meditation at least five times and see the shifts, and when you do it, just keep coming back to the sensations and stay open and curious.
Give yourself and your body time to increase sensitivity and mind/body connection.
With practice, it will feel easier to notice sensations and eventually normal to speak to yourself!
